Terms of Service
Last updated October 2026. By requesting a quote or booking a shipment with Badger Vehicle Shipping you agree to these terms. Please read them; they describe how a shipment works and what each party is responsible for.
Our Role
Badger Vehicle Shipping is a licensed and bonded property broker registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We arrange the transport of your vehicle with an independent, licensed motor carrier. We are not the carrier. The carrier that transports your vehicle is responsible for its care and custody from pickup to delivery and holds the cargo insurance that covers it.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide, including vehicle, route, dates and whether the vehicle runs. The quoted price is all-in and will not change at pickup or delivery provided that information is accurate. Inaccurate information (for example, a vehicle that does not run, is modified, or is larger than stated) may change the price. Quotes are valid for 7 days.
Booking, Payment and Cancellation
Payment terms are shown on your booking confirmation. Any portion due to the carrier at delivery is payable to the driver in the form stated on the confirmation. You may cancel at no charge at any time before a carrier has been dispatched to your shipment. After dispatch, a cancellation fee equal to the amount paid at booking may apply.
Pickup and Delivery
You or an authorized adult must be present at pickup and delivery to inspect the vehicle and sign the bill of lading. Pickup and delivery windows are estimates; weather, road conditions, mechanical issues and carrier scheduling can affect them. Where a carrier cannot safely access an address, pickup or delivery will occur at the nearest safe location agreed with you.
Vehicle Condition and Personal Items
The vehicle must be in the condition stated at booking, with no more than a quarter tank of fuel and no leaks. Up to 100 pounds of personal items may be carried in the trunk or below the window line at your own risk; they are not covered by cargo insurance. No hazardous materials, firearms, valuables or illegal items.
Damage and Claims
Inspect the vehicle at delivery and note any new damage on the bill of lading before signing. Claims for transit damage are made against the carrier's cargo insurance; we will assist you. Damage not noted on the delivery bill of lading is difficult to claim. Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability as a broker is limited to the brokerage fee paid. We are not liable for carrier delays, consequential damages, loss of use, or damage to personal items left in the vehicle. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
